Updated: Jul 7, 2022
East Yorkshire is one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the great British countryside to explore and there’s certainly something for everyone to enjoy, no matter their passions and interests.
Of course, it’s always a good idea to do a bit of research before heading off on a trip to this wonderful part of the world so you can put together an itinerary of what you want to see and do. With that in mind, here are a few suggestions from us here at PK Cottages. Enjoy!
The Yorkshire Wolds Way is a 79-mile walking route that takes in the stunning chalk landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds, making its way through some of the most tranquil countryside you can find.
What’s particularly great about this route is that there are no big hills to climb, with a couple of short exceptions, so everyone can go on an explore, regardless of ability.
Not too far from us you’ll find Bridlington Animal Park, an award-winning family-owned business that’s home to all sorts of amazing animals, including parrots, marmosets, zebra, racoons, wallabies, porcupines, camels and a whole lot more. You couldn’t ask for more of a fun day out!
If you’re looking for a bit of everything, Sewerby Hall has it all, everything from 50 acres of 19th century parkland to stunning gardens, a zoo, the house itself… and an incredible view of Bridlington, thanks to its position perched right on the clifftop!
